Managing Director:

Health Global Access Project, Inc. (Health GAP) seeks a Managing Director. The position duties include coordinating core programmatic and administrative activities of a health rights advocacy organization, overseeing the organization’s programs and budgets, and establishing and maintaining relationships with key partners, donors, board members and volunteers to ensure the advancement of Health GAP’s vision and mission to eliminate barriers to HIV treatment access for all. 
Under the supervision of Health GAP’s Executive Director, the Managing Director’s core duties will be as follows:
  • Develop and ensure implementation of administrative procedures and oversee development and tracking of budgets to meet objectives set by board of directors.
  • Recruit, hire, manage and evaluate staff and volunteers to ensure high-impact programming and effective use of organizational resources.
  • Engage in the development and execution of Health GAP’s programs including campaigns and civil society capacity building efforts.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key organizations, funding agencies, media contacts and other entities to ensure the advancement of Health GAP's vision and mission.


The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Public Health, Global Health, Public Policy or related field, plus minimum two (2) years’ working on global public health policy issues in low and middle-income countries, in civil society capacity building, cultivating new partnerships, developing budgets, and strategic planning.
