Halth GAP is happy to congratulate Dr. Eric Goosby on his confirmation to the position of Ambassador and United States Global AIDS Coordinator. Ambassador Goosby will now have the responsibility of implementing the $48 billion US Global AIDS Initiative reauthorized by Congress last year and bringing the many improvements included in that reauthorization to fruition. | more


Press Release: Lancet Editorial Misinterprets Key WHO Data about Global Health Initiatives

The World Health Organization (WHO) is releasing data in the coming days that demonstrate the impact of “global health initiatives” such as the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, the U.S. PEPFAR program, and GAVI on health systems in developing countries. Some data will come out in the June 20th issue of the Lancet, but the editorial is misleading. | more
