June 8th is the first day of the High Level Meeting on HIV & AIDSWorld Leaders will gather to announce their commitments to fight global AIDS. Join us in demanding of the United Nations and world leaders to universal access to AIDS treatment is within reach and it is critical to ending the epidemic that there are no more broken promises to Global AIDS.

Begins at 12:30pm in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza at United Nations Building (47th Street and 2 Avenue).

  Your help is needed in calling attention that the world leaders keep their promise to achieving   

  universal access to treatment.  This month scientists supported by the National Institutes of 

  Health showed that antiretroviral therapy can not only prolong the lives of people with HIV/AIDS,

  it could decrease transmission of the virus by 96% between sexual partners! This U.S. funded

  study proves that treatment is prevention and helps show we can end AIDS.

  We Demand:

• Full Funding to end AIDS
• Respect for human rights for all people
• 15 million people on AIDS treatment by 2015
• An end to trade deals that put profits and patents ahead of lives
• Adopt International Declaration on Poverty, Housing Instability and HIV/AIDS
• Cut tuberculosis death among People Living with HIV/AIDS by at least 50%
• Elimination of new infections from injection drug use and mother to child transmission
• Reduction of HIBV infections via sex by 50%
